R. PERKINS on January 30, 1849 in Petersburg, VA. The M. Perkins
in household was most likely the mother of Leanner PERKINS wife of James
H. TOTTY.

to Martha H. FRANKLIN on August 14th, 1826 in Chesterfield Co., VA.
Martha died sometime after her last child was born in 1841 and June 3rd,
1848 when Benjamin W. TOTTY married Malissa WILSON. According to
TOTTY researcher Betty Griffis, her ancestor was Benjamin (Harrison) TOTTY
shown here at age 1. He was born in Petersburg City, Virginia.
Mary, Amanda, Caroline, Martha and Edward were the children by Benjamin's
first wife Martha (Franklin) TOTTY.

brother of Melissa WILSON TOTTY? see above. Possibly? William TOTTY
found in this HH age 23, is the son of Benjamin W. TOTTY above husband
of Malissa (Wilson) and his first wife Martha (Franklin) TOTTY. Could
William shown by enumberator as age 23, actually be William George TOTTY
born November 7th 1832 above. We know that the ages were not
always correct on the census records. If anyone can Identify this
William please let us know.

On Saturday, July 11the, JAMES WALTER, son of
JAMES H. and LEANNER R. TOTTY, aged one year, six months and fifteen days.
MARRIED
On the 25th inst., by the Rev. Mr. Coulling,
Mr. WM. G. TOTTY to Miss ANNE M. BRANCH, both of Petersburg.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral of James Foster, infant son of William G. and Anne M. Totty will take place from the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. Marcia C. Branch on Halifax St. today at 11 o'clock.
The friends and acquaintances of the family are
respectfully invited to attend without further notice.

son of William George and his wife Anne M. BRANCH TOTTY.
