The County of Grayson is located just South
of the Oklahoma boarder in North Central Texas, it was created from Fannin
County in 1846, and was organized later that same year. Grayson
county was named for Republic of Texas, Attorney General Peter W. Grayson.
Sherman being the County Seat. TOTTY families descendants are still
living there today.

born August 8, 1838 Henry Co., VA and died in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co.,
AR., and this is most likely the same as John R. STEPHENS listed in hh

see that he was also in Sebastian County, Arkansas where John W. TOTTY
moved to prior to 1880. They also had a daughter Julia STEPHENS
who married a Tom KELLEY, my grand father Green Whitfield TOTTY was living
