BTM] Vernon Estell TOTTY, Sr. was the son of Green Whitfield TOTTY and Hattie Lee (Rodgers aka Rogers) TOTTY of Napa, CA. He was married first to Lorena Pearl HOISINGTON who pre-deceased him in 1884. Vernon E. Totty, Sr. was my father. He was buried in Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co., OK. Green Whitfield TOTTY was the son of John Whitfield and Sarah Ellen (Yandell) TOTTY of Hickman Co., TN, Montague Co., TX and Sebastian Co., AR.

2000 December 5th Newspaper Obituary
HASTINGS, Okla. -- James Doss Totty, 71, died Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2000) in Oklahoma City.
         He was born May 7, 1929, to Beatrice (Doss) and L.P. Totty in Waurika, Okla.
         He was a member of Corum Baptist Church.
         Survivors include: a son, Johnny W. Totty of El Dorado; two daughters, Jeannie M. (Totty) Shaw and Deborah J. (Totty) Lambert; two sisters, Lorene Tate of Hastings, Okla., and Billie J. Morford of Moscow, Idaho; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
         Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corum Baptist Church.
         Burial will be in Clifford Trupp Cemetery in Burns.
         Memorials have been established with Prison Ministries of Walters, Okla., and Corum Baptist Church in care of the funeral home, 1316 Oak St., Duncan, OK 73533.
