Introduction
The County of Lincoln was created in 1871 from
Arkansas, Bradley, Desha, Drew and Jackson Counties. Arkansas
was the Original County, in 1813, Bradley was from Union in 1840, Desha
from Arkansas and Chicot in 1838, Drew from Arkansas and Bradley in 1846,
Jackson from Woodruff in 1829. Major indian tribes of the area
were the Quapaw, also known as the Akansa or Arkansas, the Osage, and the
Caddo. The area was origanally opened to American settlers by the
Spanish in 1783. Arkansas Territory was formed from Missori Territory
in 1812 with settlers from Virginia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Mississippi,
or Missouri. The Arkansas Territority included present day Oklahoma
until June 15 1836, when Arkansas became a State.

Kaw City, Kay County, OK] of Marion E., Franklin and George Thomas
COMBS, ancestors of TOTTY COMBS related ancestors of Birdie (TOTTY)
McNutt.
Notes: Four son's of Peter Anderson
COMBS were living in the county at time of his death according to his Obituary,
as follows; Marion E., Franklin, George Thomas and Jesse COMBS.
Albert Grant COMBS, son of Peter Anderson COMBS had a daughter Freddy Franklin
and Birdie Lorena COMBS HOISINGTON [born in Kay County, OK], they was the
father and mother of Lorena Pearl Hoisington TOTTY, wife of Vernon
Estell TOTTY, Sr., and son of Green Whitfield TOTTY.

Notes: Cecil B.(rown) TOTTY was the son
of James Campbell TOTTY and his wife Mary (ORTON) TOTTY.
Cecil is buried in this cemetery with his mother Mary born Jan 15, 1891.
James C. TOTTY was also living in Star City, Lincoln Co., before his death,
however he is not listed in the cemetery records. James
Campbell TOTTY was the son of William and Elizabeth E. TOTTY of
Hickman
County, TN and Jackson
County, MO, son of Johnson Harrison TOTTY and Susan B.
(SPRADLING) TOTTY. Susan B. (Spradling) TOTTY was
the sister of Rhoda (Spradling) TOTTY and daughter's of David
and Susannah (Parker?) Spencer SPRADLING. Johnson H.
TOTTY was the son of Harrison and Martha Patsy JOHNS(T)ON TOTTY.
Martha "Patsy" JOHNS(T)ON was the daughter of Miles and Mary (Totty)
JOHNS(T)ON, dau of Francis TOTTY of Chesterfield
Co., VA and Halifax
County, NC. Francis TOTTY was the son of Mary and
William TOTTY, son of Mary and Thomas TOTTY, Sr. of Henrico
Co., VA.
Loyd T. TOTTY was married to Susie M. ROBERTSON
both above. W. D. TOTTY above is William Douglas TOTTY son
of James Campbell and Mary Orton TOTTY, who are also parent's of the above
Loyd T. TOTTY. The surname of Theda E, wife of Cecil Brown TOTTY
is still unknown at this time. We still need to identify who the
parents of the above C. Wayne TOTTY are.
