Introduction
The County of Elmore was created in 1866 from
Augusta, Coosa, Montgomery and Tallapoosa
Counties. Tallapoosa and Coosa were created from the Creek Cession
of 1832. Augusta was formed from Montgomery Co., in 1818, Montgomery
from Monroe in 1816 and Monroe from Creek Cession in 1814 and Washington
Co., which was formed from Mississippi Territority and Baldwin in 1800.
Washington was part of Flordia in 1809. The county seat
is Wetumpka, AL.

TOTTY and mother Carolyn Dunn. Charles Kenneth TOTTY was the son
of William Thomas TOTTY and Nettie Gertrude Strength found in this same
cemetery.

May 9th 1886, died Sep. 18, 1971. he married Gertrude Strenght above.
William Thomas was the s/o Abner Jefferson TOTTY and Mattie Elizabeth Anderson
TOTTY, s/o George Abner and Amelia Frances Benson TOTTY, son
of Thomas TOTTY and his wife Lucy TIPPIT TOTTY from Greene
County, Georgia. Thomas TOTTY was the son of Abner and Mary
White TOTTY. This line is being researched by TOTTY researcher
Cheryl Lynn TOTTY. who states that William Thomas TOTTY had son Charles
Kenneth TOTTY who married Carolyn Dunn the parents of Cheryl Lynn and Cynthia
Joy TOTTY all of Tallassee, AL. More research records
