Chan Totty 8-27-1927 - 3-31-1967
Killed in action in Vietnam, He was a veteran of 18 years service in the Army. He was a platoon sergeant with Copmpany B, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. His Unit operated in War Zone C, near Phocu Vinh. Among his decorations were the expert Infantryman's Badge, National Service Medal, Vietname Service Medal, Vietname Campaign Medal (1966 Defensive), Expert Rifleman's Badge, AOM (Berlin) and Good Conduct Medal. Entered the U.S. Army in Memphis, Texas in the Infantry. He went through basic training at Fort Robertson, Arkansas. His first assignment was in Newfoundland. Marion Totty 4-03-1827 - Jan. 31, 1884
Captain Francis Marion Totty, entered the Tennessee State Militia 1845, commissioned Lieut. May 29th 1846, Pvt Company A Tennessee Rendevous of Hickman County, Tenness. Enlisted as a Tennessee volunteer for Mexican War June 1, 1846. He was one of the first volunteers under the command of John W. Whitfield. Discharged September 12, 1846 at Camargo, Mexico on surgical Certificate. Captain Texas Troops 1861-1865 in Bourlands Reg. Company E. Hickman Co TN Militia; 2nd Lt. in the Mexican War.

Estell Totty 6-02-1920 -

Staff Sargeant, Vernon Estell Totty. Entered the U.S. Army the first time in Memphis, Texas. He entered the U.S. Army again the second time in 1847 in California. Retired after 20 years of service on March 31, 1967 the day his brother Delbert Chan Totty was killed in combat in Viet Nam. His Foreign Service in U.S. Army was during WWII; Republic of Phillipines; in Korean Conflict; Germany; Okinawa and Vietnam. Among his decorations were National Defense Service Medal and Expert marksman Badge. He retired the second time from employment with the State of California serving 15 years. Son of Green Whitfield and Hattie Lee Rogers Totty,>John Whitfield and Sarah Ellen Yandall Totty,> Robert and Matilda Easley Estes Totty,>Robert and Sandal Andrews Totty,>Francis Totty>Thomas and Mary Carter Davis Totty.
